Improvements to Central Square
Exhibition and Consultation - July 2008

Central Square 1The Trust has been successful in a Heritage Lottery Fund to draw up designs for the improvement of Central Square.  There is feeling among residents that the space is presently neglected and under-used, and is not the attractive heart of the Suburb that it was designed to be.  Our consultants have come up with some ideas for the landscaping and planting of the area, and solutions to some of the problems it suffers such as flooding.  Residents are invited to comment on these proposals and send in their own ideas so that the Trust can see how people in the local area want to use the space and how they think it should look.

Further public consultation will take place in the coming months, as it is essential that any improvements will take the form of those most requested and required by residents themselves.  The results will form the basis of a new application to the Heritage Lottery Fund for the implementation of the scheme.

If you would like to comment, please either print off one of the exhibition questionnaires and return it to the Trust, or email or write your comments to David Davidson at the Trust, david@hgstrust.org or 862 Finchley Road, London, NW11 6AB.
