- Guidelines for Demolition/Rebuilding
- These guidelines have been developed for those exceptional cases where the Trust is asked to consider the total demolition of a building and its replacement with another. They are intended to set out clear criteria for assessing such proposals and ensure that applicants do not waste time and money pursuing plans that are likely to be unacceptable to the Trust. The guidelines will also be applied to applications for the substantial demolition and remodelling of existing houses.
- Guidance Note for Garage Conversions (pdf)
- The Trust is generally keen to see garages used for the purpose for which they were designed, thereby keeping cars out of view and reducing parking congestion on Suburb roads. Nevertheless, some residents will want to increase their living space by converting their garage to habitable space and this Guidance Note offers advice on how this might be achieved.
- Technical Guidance on Pointing of Brickwork
- Because re-pointing can change the external appearance of the property so considerably (and also so unexpectedly) the Trust considers that Trust Consent is needed for both Freehold and Leasehold property. However, because we think it is such an important matter we do not charge a fee.
- Types of Rooflight Which May be Approved
- The Trust sometimes approves a traditional rooflight as part of a Provisional Consent. If so, the rooflight is to be one of the products listed
- Guidelines for Satellite Dishes
- The aim of this Guidance Note is to set out clearly the Trust’s policy on the installation of satellite dishes on the Suburb.
