Please note that there are covenants in the Scheme of Management (http://www.hgstrust.org/documents/scheme-of-management.pdf) and leases affecting properties on the Suburb relating to, amongst other things, the maintenance of the structure of buildings (which can include parts of the interior) and the appearance of the exterior. The Trust is the beneficiary of these covenants.
Any consent given by the Trust under the Scheme of Management or lease must be in writing and signed by or on behalf of the Company Secretary usually after consideration by the Trust of proper plans and specifications before work commences. Any consent may be subject to conditions which may require further information to be provided before work can commence.
In the event of any works breaching the Scheme of Management and/or lease being carried out, or any relevant works requiring the Trust's prior written consent under the Scheme of Management and/or lease being carried out without such prior written consent, the Trust reserves all its rights to, and may apply for and is entitled to be awarded an injunction compelling reinstatement of the property to its condition prior to the commencement of the works and/or damages plus costs.
