Allotments

Allotments were a key part of Dame Henrietta Barnett's vision for the community of the Suburb, and many groupings of houses were designed with access to allotment plots.

Today the Trust owns and manages 11 private allotment sites across the Suburb. These sites are managed through the Hampstead Garden Suburb Residents' Association Allotments Committee (which also covers non-Trust managed allotment sites on the Suburb) and by the Trust's Estate Management team. Each site has a site secretary who arranges tenancy agreements and collects rents.

Standard form tenancy agreements and Health and Safety Guidelines for plot holders and anyone entering the sites for any reason are available below to print.

- Allotment Tenancy Agreement (PDF)

- Allotment Health & Safety Guidelines (PDF)

The Trust office deals with enquiries for potential new plot holders and the waiting list for plots, and can put you in touch with the relevant site secretary.
